Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to prune?

Generally, the best time to prune is when the plant or tree is dormant (when the plant stops growing and conserves energy) to prevent stress

What is the process of pruning?

Remember the the 3 D's. Remove all Dead, Diseased, or Damaged branches.

What is the 1/3 rule of pruning?

To avoid placing the plant under stress, it is recommended to cut approximately 1/3 of the plants wood when pruning. This encourages new growth and allows more light and air in to keep it healthy.
